![]() ![]() Wear a well-fitted mask if you must be around others in your home. Stay home and quarantine for at least 5 full days. You are up to date with your vaccines if you are 18 years of age or older and have received all recommended COVID-19 vaccines and boosters for your age group, or if you are 5-17 years old and have completed your primary vaccination series at least 2 weeks ago. ![]() You must quarantine if you have been within 6 feet of a person with COVID-19 for 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period (regardless of mask use) UNLESS (1) of the following is true: (1) you are up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations, OR (2) you have recovered from COVID-19 within the last 90 days (confirmed positive using a viral test). Avoid travel and avoid people who are at high risk. Do not go to places where you are unable to wear a mask. Wear a well-fitted mask for 10 full days any time you are around others inside your home or in public. If you have a fever or are not yet improving, remain in isolation until all of the above are true. Isolation may end after ALL of the following are true: (1) it has been at least 5 full days since your symptoms started (or since your test date, if you had no symptoms) (2) you have had no fever for 24 hours, without taking fever-reducing medications and (3) your symptoms are improving. Let your close contacts, employer, and/or school know that you tested positive. Call 911 in case of a medical emergency and say that you have COVID-19. Also, stay home for at least 5 days, and isolate from others in your home, wear a well-fitted mask while at home, and monitor your symptoms. This is true whether you are vaccinated or not. You must isolate if you tested positive for COVID-19 or if you have symptoms and have been unable to test. The DOH also provides its Home Isolation and Quarantine Guidance: 5-Day Isolation and Quarantine. As COVID-19 community levels are currently at “Medium” in Hawaii, Honolulu, and Maui Counties, and “High” in Kauai County, employers and employees should consult the Hawaii State Department of Health (DOL) website at for the current information and actions to take to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. ![]()
